Development Engineer Li-Ion Cell – Focus on Cell Characterization (f/m/x)

Tasks
The HV Battery - Cell department is responsible for the development of lithium-ion cells for use in our modular battery-electric drive trains. We are currently developing batteries for battery-electric trucks for our customers in Europe and North America. The task of the cell pre-development team is to secure a commercial vehicle-specific lithium-ion cell.
We are looking for a Development Engineer Li-ion Cell (f/m/x) with focus on Cell Characterization for the development of commercial vehicle-specific battery cells.

Your tasks in detail:

• Preparation of cells for advanced characterization, for example the identification of the cell operating window and thermal behavior
• Design of fixtures for cell assembly, electrolyte filling and formation as wells as parametrization and adjustment of the tooling
• Planning Design of Experiments (DoE) for optimization of the cell preparation procedures
• Technical supplier screening/supplier management for cell components and coordination of external partners
• Work closely with our cell development and testing teams to optimize test realization, outcome and reliability
