Job Description:
The Development Project Manager - Engineering is responsible for planning, negotiating and accomplishing goals dealing with zoning and permitting for RaceTrac and RaceWay convenience stores. Up to 60% travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and permitting new construction for RaceTrac and RaceWay convenience stores.
  • Obtains the necessary permits and communicates with local government agencies as needed.
  • Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.
  • Understands and recommends alterations to drawings and designs to improve quality and efficiency of the end result.
  • Negotiates with the company’s executive team and city council by understanding the building and ownership of the projects.
  • Selects and manages consultants on design/entitlement teams.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years experience preferred, previous work experience in the petroleum industry a plus
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, decision-making and public presentation skills
  • Previous managerial experience preferred
  • Previous involvement with zoning and permitting with city council preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite preferred
