Job Description:
The Development Project Manager - Engineering is responsible for planning, negotiating and accomplishing goals dealing with zoning and permitting for RaceTrac and RaceWay convenience stores. Up to 60% travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and permitting new construction for RaceTrac and RaceWay convenience stores.
- Obtains the necessary permits and communicates with local government agencies as needed.
- Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.
- Understands and recommends alterations to drawings and designs to improve quality and efficiency of the end result.
- Negotiates with the company’s executive team and city council by understanding the building and ownership of the projects.
- Selects and manages consultants on design/entitlement teams.
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years experience preferred, previous work experience in the petroleum industry a plus
- Excellent negotiation, communication, decision-making and public presentation skills
- Previous managerial experience preferred
- Previous involvement with zoning and permitting with city council preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite preferred
