JOB DESCRIPTION

The Development Director position has a variety of responsibilities and assists in coordinating the efforts to increase the organization’s funding base.

EDUCATION:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or nonprofit management

EXPERIENCE:

• Three (3) years ’experience and advanced technical skills in preparing grant proposals with documented track record of success in generating revenue. Experience working in a behavioral health organization is preferred.
• One (1) year experience in Fundraising
• One (1) year experience in Grant writing
• One (1) year experience in Marketing

SKILLS:

• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office including Publisher.
• Adobe In Design knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently.
• High level of initiative
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure when multiple grants are due in the same time frame.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and use innovative techniques and ingenuity to prepare grant applications.
• Must be able to analyze and evaluate information. Must have strong organizational skills.
