JOB DESCRIPTION

Our site in Leuven, Belgium is looking for an engineer to support the manufacturing of products for the high
tech, aerospace and healthcare industries.
The Development Quality Engineer safeguards that customer and production quality requirements are met
for new product developments.

• Ensure Customer Specifications together with the critical to quality (CTQ) items are clear and

documented.

• Define the inspection method and equipment to be used for parts inspection.
• Create and review of QC work instructions.
• Provide initial training to QC Technicians to ensure part inspection is properly executed.
• Validate the inspection method through MSA studies (eg Gage RnR).
• Perform Capability studies to safeguard that the expected reject rates are within the company

expectations.

• Lead customer complaints and non-conformity investigations. Lead root cause investigations and

search for effective solutions within a multidisciplinary team to resolve production issues.

• Support risk assessments for new product developments.
• Ensure new tools and inspection equipment are calibrated and a calibration plan is in place.
• Select and validate (IQ) new test equipment.
• Validate software of the inspection software.
• Contribute to the continuous improvements of quality processes by identifying and leading

improvement projects.

• Support customer audits.
• Provide support to the QC department regarding customer specifications.
• Contribute to compliancy with ISO 13485, AS 9100 and FDA QSR standards.
