JOB SUMMARY:

Amun 21Shares is looking for a skilled DevOps Associate to join our growing DevOps team. This person will learn and promote DevOps best practices throughout the engineering department and all its projects. This includes helping with our continuous integration practices in the organization by creating pipelines, automating build, release processes and working to standardize those processes across our application suite. Opportunities to learn will include data streaming and ETL, infrastructure as code, GitOps, observability, security, and DevOps metrics.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SCOPE:

  • Reads and asks questions about technology we use
  • Builds knowledge of tools and products
  • Asks many questions and asks follow-up questions for clarification
  • Practices active listening
  • Proactively communicates the status of work in progress
  • Escalates problems
  • Validates and updates documentation

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Experience working in a Linux environment with typical sys-admin tools
  • Scripting (in any language)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Setup local environments
  • Connects to networks, servers
  • Knowledge of the difference between containers, virtual machines, and bare metal
  • Build and manage infrastructure with code
  • Understands how infrastructure serves different purposes in the SDLC
  • Understand implications for working at different places in that lifecycle
  • Technical Bootcamp or some working experience - preferred
