Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a DevOps engineer within our Data Engineering team, you will work closely with our data engineers to design, implement and maintain our Cloud infrastructure for data processing and analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Data Pipeline Automation: Designing, implementing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes and automated workflows. Our team uses Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Delta Lake.
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD): Implementing CI/CD pipelines for Data Factory and Synapse workspaces and automating the deployment of data pipelines and workflows with Azure DevOps.
  • Version Control and Collaboration: Establishing version control practices for data workflows, pipeline code and configurations using git and Azure DevOps. Promoting collaboration and code review processes throughout the Mission Optimization team.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administrating our virtual IT infrastructure in Microsoft Azure Cloud, managing both IaaS and PaaS resources. Designing new infrastructure to bring our simulation tools to the Cloud and connect our customers to their data.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Implementing and enforcing data security best practices to protect sensitive data with Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Purview.
  • Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, industry regulations and our customers’ data governance policies.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Set up monitoring solutions to track the health, performance, and data quality of pipelines, using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and other tools.
