ABOUT US

We are a pro audio company from Berlin, Germany. Since early 2011, we have been working on radically transforming audio technology, by re-thinking the underlying physics of sound reproduction. We wondered: What if sound could truly be controlled the way we can control light? What if we could create soundscapes that feel more real than reality? What if every seat in a venue could be made the best seat?
Our solution is science-based, software-driven, and hardware-enabled: the HOLOPLOT Matrix Array. The sound system for a new era, a powerful tool that brings previously inaccessible capabilities to the world of audio.
We believe when people experience better sound, they will enjoy more meaningful moments and create richer memories, leading to more fulfilling lives. At HOLOPLOT, it is our mission to redefine what is possible - enabling unparalleled and breathtaking experiences. A revolution in sound. Be part of it.

Responsibilities:

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE

We’re looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join the team that oversees the entire infrastructure of our installations and cloud services. If you feel at home when dealing with a wide range of topics — some might call it the true “Full Stack” — HOLOPLOT has the perfect opportunity for you!
HOLOPLOT is an innovative company specializing in professional audio systems. We are committed to creating groundbreaking solutions that redefine how listeners experience sound in various environments. We have built the world’s largest audio system at MSG Sphere!
Large audio systems require extensive technological solutions. In redefining the audible experience at scale, we had to shift the audio processing from centralized DSP to distributed DSP, embedded in every HOLOPLOT loudspeaker. This introduced challenges such as configuration and coordination and opportunities such as metrics gathering and usage insights. In our current iteration, we have selected Kubernetes and NATS as key technologies running on-prem (at venues) to tackle our challenges.
A next-generation audio system doesn’t stop at the venue. HOLOPLOT offers connected services that rely on integration between venues and the cloud. Our cloud infrastructure provides services throughout the product life cycle, from optimizing beams at the venue’s design phase to monitoring the health of deployed systems.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure that supports our connected services, including remote access, access control, telemetry data collection, etc.
  • Providing expert assistance to the software development teams in building distributed computing systems based on Kubernetes and IP networks that are scalable, secure, and observable.
  • Monitoring large environments and troubleshooting problems as they arise.
  • Designing ways to provision, manage, and support our hardware devices at our production facilities and customers’ sites.
  • Automating manual tasks and implementing internal tooling.
  • Researching and recommending new tools and technologies to elevate our DevOps practices and enhance service quality.
  • Getting involved in open-source projects by reporting issues or contributing additions or bug fixes as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE

  • Extensive experience developing, deploying, and monitoring software at scale.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes in complex environments.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Proficiency in utilizing IaC tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong command of Linux systems, scripting, and automation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with application instrumentation for telemetry data collection is a plus
  • Experience operating PostgreSQL, NATS, or Prometheus/Thanos is a plus
  • Experienced in securing remote access to IoT devices is a plus
  • Knowledge of networking, including multicast at scale, Wireguard, BGP, IPv6, etc is a plus
If you’re prepared to elevate your expertise to the next level and make a meaningful impact on the professional audio world, we want to hear from you!
Join us in shaping the future of audio technology. Apply today and let your DevOps expertise shine at HOLOPLOT!
