Description:
WE HELP THE WORLD RUN BETTER
At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.
Responsibilities:
With the newly founded unit of SAP Sovereign Cloud, we are defining the future of sovereign cloud infrastructure for public sector and regulated industries – with unparalleled security, flexibility, and scale.
This is where innovation meets execution – and we are looking for a stellar DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to be part of our journey.
As a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) , you play a vital role in the Product Enablement team within SAP Sovereign Cloud.
Your contributions to Sovereign Cloud will be pivotal in automating, scaling, and maintaining our cloud operations at an exemplary level. You will be responsible not only for orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes but also for supporting regional Sovereign Cloud teams. This will involve demonstrating deployment techniques, assisting in troubleshooting, and providing guidance on updates and best practices.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assist in the building out and managing deployment environments for net-new SAP products in the SAP Sovereign Cloud portfolio.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Support the automation of build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability – including troubleshooting issues in the deployment pipelines.
- Ensure consistency and version control of configuration files and deployment scripts.
- Implement tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk for monitoring and logging – including monitoring system performance and assisting in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Support performance tuning and optimization efforts for SAP products.
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to support the integration and deployment of SAP products.
- Create and maintain documentation for deployment processes, configurations, and infrastructure.
- Proactively seek mentorship and guidance from senior engineers to enhance professional development.
