ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps/ Platform Engineer with extensive experience in data and platform engineering to work with one of our esteemed banking clients. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust platforms that enable seamless integration, processing, and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions that meet evolving needs.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on platform engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with provisioning infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
  • Skilled in using Jenkins for CI/CD to automate the build, test, and deployment process.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for managing and resolving IT service management (ITSM) tickets and incidents efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain platform infrastructure on cloud platforms.
  • Provision and manage infrastructure using infrastructure as code tools.
  • Implement and manage data platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to identify and solve problems, taking ownership of developing, deploying, and supporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline platform tasks.
  • Optimize data architecture and infrastructure for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Build and implement CI/CD pipelines for data platform deployments.
  • Integrate security best practices and ensure platform compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and platforms, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal downtime.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve platform capabilities and efficiency.
  • Set configurations and processes, and document platform architecture, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
