DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing our infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications, and maintaining high system reliability and performance. This role involves working closely with the development and operations teams to streamline and automate processes, enhance security, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, or similar).

SKILLS:

• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in software development or system administration.
• Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git), configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet), and other DevOps-related tools and frameworks.
• Work Environment:
• Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and communicate effectively.
• Work Schedule: Typical business hours with some on-call responsibilities and potential for off-hours work during deployments or emergencies.
• Travel: Minimal travel required, mainly for conferences or training.
