Position Classification and schedule: Exempt, full-time, and requires working at the Hanahan, SC office and/or Lab up to 3x per week or as needed. Must be available to work during core business hours.
Target start date: May 2024
Annual Salary Range: $93,600 - $114,000 depending on relevant professional experience.

DEVOPS ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY:

As a DevOps Engineer, your primary focus will be implementing infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell). You will establish architectural patterns and standards that enable DevOps practices like infrastructure as code and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms, you will be tasked with designing solution-independent architecture models that align business services with cloud application stacks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work with the development team to adapt existing methods and procedures to create innovative solutions to client problems.
• Assist development teams in meeting acceptance criteria and gather and document requirements.
• Support senior project leadership and ensure all work aligns with the project’s strategic direction.
• Communicate with non-technical audiences and teams that may be unfamiliar with your work.

Required/Essential Qualifications:

• You must be located in Hanahan, SC, and be a U.S. citizen who can obtain/maintain government security clearance.
• Complete and pass Moebius-designed DevOps technical assessments.
• A bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of professional DevOps experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous (CI/CD), DevOps solutions, architecture patterns, or other similar DevOps tasks.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with at least one of the following: code repository management, code merge, quality checks, CI through pipeline creation, automated deployment, management (using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Maven, Ant, SonarQube, or other similar tools).
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in at least one of the following: Python, Unix/Linux shell scripting, JavaScript, PowerShell, or another programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with command line experience in Linux and Windows.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other Cloud infrastructure environments.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience with Containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other comparable tools.
