We’re MYOB, a business management platform designed to unleash the potential of businesses across Australia and New Zealand! As the #originalstartup, our roots are in finance and accounting software, but today we are so much more. We help our Aussie and Kiwi customers unleash their full potential, giving them the tools to Start, Survive and Succeed: all in the one place.
We’re always on the hunt for those who bring a different perspective, diversity of thought and the drive to make our culture even better. Take your career to a new dimension at MYOB.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The DevOps Engineer’s role is to ensure that production environments are stable, high-performing, and secure. This involves collaborating closely with production teams and providing support to MYOB’s internal and external business partners and clients.
As part of the team, you will strive to achieve operational excellence and aim to empower other teams to improve stability, performance and security in their work. We are passionate about making a difference to both clients and developers through communication and increased autonomy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Extend and evolve the platform to adapt to customer needs whilst maintaining an exceptional level of stability and reliability.
  • Ensure our systems are operating optimally, by engaging in operational improvements, scalability, maintenance and access management.
  • Work closely with development teams across the company to understand problems, evaluate patterns and standard methodologies, and find opportunities for the team to contribute.
  • Apply Lean principles and collaborate within an Agile team, using sprints, epics, spikes, and iterative feedback loops.
  • Drive adoption of our services and tooling through workshops, training and consultation.
  • Seek opportunities to automate our own services and processes, reducing operational toil in a multi-cloud platform environment.
