Description:

DEVOPS ENGINEER

A leading technology company in the Southwest, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the fold. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact and contribute to the ongoing success of the organisation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proficient in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation
  • Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in building custom tools and scripts
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and management
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Understanding of API design and integration, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable infrastructure solutions using the latest cloud-based technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate processes, improve deployment pipelines, and ensure the seamless integration of new features and updates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform
  • Automate deployment and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications
  • Develop and maintain Python-based scripts and tools to streamline DevOps processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate API-driven workflows
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application-level issues
  • Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security
