Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient with containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and virtualization
  • Strong knowledge of system administration in both Linux and Microsoft environments
  • Strong knowledge of web and network protocols and standards (TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP, DNS, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
  • Strong knowledge of security tools such as VPN, PKI, AuthNZ, auditd, firewalls, etc.
  • Proficient in Python programming language and experience with scripting using Bash
  • Experience with observability technologies such as Datadog, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Cloudformation
  • Knowledge of release management practices, including versioning and branching (Git)

EDUCATION

Any one of the following:

  • Bachelors or more advanced in Computer Science or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

3 years or more of experience as a DevOps or Systems Administrator experience

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Real world experience with DevOps practices and IT services management

Responsibilities:

The Energy Toolbase team focuses on the modelling, intelligent control, and monitoring of distributed energy storage system (ESS) and photovoltaic systems. As a member of the company that provides an industry leading software platform in the renewable industry, you’ll play an integral role in building and maintaining a fast-evolving complex infrastructure that underpins our future growth. You will work on both corporate infrastructure and product related infrastructure that spans multiple cloud environments and hundreds of edge devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and update existing corporate IT infrastructure, network, devices, and security.
  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure using simple, maintainable, and cost optimized solutions.
  • Build custom tooling, as necessary, using various APIs and services to streamline infrastructure operations.
  • Interface with various teams to help automate and simplify configuration management, environment provisioning, and application deployment using infrastructure as code.
  • Continuously monitor production environments, including performance, to ensure high availability, security, and reliability of applications.
  • Evaluate and implement cloud/IT orchestration tools to support evolving and growing needs of the company.
  • Implement and enforce security compliance controls and monitoring standards such as SOC 2
