ABOUT YOU
We’re seeking a DevOps Technical Lead with a strong foundation in a relevant education or certifications, practical experience, excellent communication skills, and a readiness to travel. Explore the key skills and beneficial experiences below to see if this opportunity aligns with your expertise.
Experience with the following:
- Amazon Web Services: ElasticBeanstalk, RDS, Lambda, Route 53
- Data: PostgreSQL, NoSQL (DynamoDB), Liquibase
- Monitoring and Logging: NewRelic, ElasticSearch, CloudWatch
- Linux: Amazon Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu
- Languages: Python or Node.JS or Bash
- Continuous Integration/Delivery: Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, ElasticBeanstalk
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation
- Version Control: Git, SVN
- Experience in other software/tools would be beneficial such as Harness, Docker, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced tech lead who oversees the technical aspects of a software team by making architectural and design decisions, guiding team members in technical matters, supervising system modifications for the DevOps Cloud-Service team.
You will be working closely with our project management, Team Leads, Managers, Architects and stakeholders to ensure your team is working on the right things, following our development practices and delivering as per our release processes and providing estimates. You will foresee and remove blockers and effectively manage risks and issues for your team level.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Management of Infrastructure development, build, automation, and operations
- Management of CI/CD operations
- Management of daily Cloud Service operations
- Security, servicing and documentation
- Infrastructure and application alert configurations and response
- Mentorship & leadership to the local New Zealand team and the wider global DevOps teams
- Ensure strategy & design of our products are kept up to date with industry standards
