POSITION: Retail Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Retail
STATUS OF POSITION: Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assistance to guests and hosts in the Deerhurst General Store. They will also be responsible for the opening and closing of the General Store, daily cash-outs, inventory, displays and replenishment of stock.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Smart Serve Certificate required
  • Retail experience (1-2 yrs) an asset
  • High School diploma or equivalent an asset
  • Previous customer service experience in a hotel or related field an asset
  • Experience handling cash
  • Intermediate level of competency in all Microsoft office components preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • First Aid/CPR an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Recognizes, promptly greets and provides exceptional and professional service to all guests, hosts and owners
  • Is responsible for all retail elements such as displays, inventory, replenishment of stock, daily cash-out, opening and closing of the General Store
  • Ensures and maintain clean and efficient workspace conducive to providing fast, efficient and excellent customer service
  • Ensures and maintains strict control over all monies and media during each shift
  • Responsible for efficient decision making and effective problem solving
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the daily, weekly and monthly events within the resort
  • Provides information and assistance to guests and hosts regarding our facilities and activities
  • Attends to any guest complaint to ensure the guests needs are met
  • Ensures retail equipment in proper working order
  • Responds and coordinates first aid and emergency situations as required
  • Models all Deerhurst Resort standards while caring for the guests, hosts and owners
  • Completes all other duties as assigned
