Diabetic Eye Screener/Grader/Slit Lamp Biomicroscopy (SLB) Examiner

We are looking for an experienced screener/grader who has completed the Diploma in Health Screening or equivalent, who is also an accredited Slit Lamp Bio-Microscopy examiner. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of screening clinics and also complete grading of patient images. They will also be expected to support and assist in training colleagues.
Manage clinics in a variety of community-based settings. Identify any patients requiring urgent referral at the time of their appointment. Provide first, second, arbitration, Digital Surveillance and some Referral Outcome Grading. Undertake a minimum 100 SLBE grades per annum as per National Guidance; minimum 500/1000 digital grading per annum and carry out the on-line EQA grading tests each month. Maintain the highest standards of patient care and service delivery as well as maintaining fully compliant with the Data Protection Act.
