REQUIREMENTS

  • Certification: ACPSEM registered Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist (Nuclear Medicine). Candidates close to completing the ACPSEM DIMP TEAP certification program or eligible for ACPSEM registration in nuclear medicine physics are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Physicist to join our dynamic team, providing clinical diagnostic imaging and medical physics services. This full time, 14-month contract position is available from September 2024 to October 2025, with the level of appointment (Grade 2 – Grade 4) dependent on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

ROLE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Exciting Project: Participate in or lead the installation of a whole-body PET Siemens Biograph Vision Quadra, along with multiple uptake and therapy bays, at the new Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre adjacent to The Alfred.
  • Comprehensive Services: The Alfred Department of Nuclear Medicine & PET offers a wide range of diagnostic imaging services, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT, non-imaging diagnostic nuclear procedures, therapeutic nuclear medicine services (including theranostics), and is actively involved in clinical research.
