Description:

Job Summary
The Diesel Technician at Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and performing maintenance on all types of diesel-powered light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This full-time position is based in Scarborough, ON.

MUST BE LICENSED 310S OR 310T WITH MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, great perks & benefits, Technician job paying $35 to $50 per hour flat rate, paid biweekly. Benefits of employment include the use of Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC’s tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and performance issues on all types of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment
  • Work on diesel engines and related vehicles, repairing components and testing after completion
  • Monitor working condition of diesel powered systems and components
  • Follow diagnostic test procedures and analyze results
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services
  • Repair or replace fuel injection systems, breaking systems, electronic engine controls, and engine components
  • Stay up-to date on current technology and images

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • A valid ontario driver’s license and good driving record
  • Relevant experience with diesel engine systems/components and tools
  • Knowledge of related automotive systems (electrical, drive train, suspension, etc.)
  • Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently
