DESCRIPTION

Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team through participation in the screening of patients/residents to identify those at nutritional risk. Assists patients on modified diets with menu selections, corrects, edits, and tallies menus. Performs nutritional assessment, reassessment, and education for patients/residents at low to potential nutritional risk as directed by the Clinical Dietitian.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a dietetic technician program. Or
• Bachelor’s Degree
• National CDR Dietetic/Nutritionist Technician Registered - Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months (180 days) of hire
• National California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
• 6 months of food service experience or school supervised student work program.
• Possess general experience of word processing equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Supervisory experience.
