Responsibilities:
- The Dietitian Assistant supports the Clinical Dietitian in the provision of nutrition care to hospital patients via patient nutrition risk screening, referral to clinical Dietitians of ‘at risk’ patients, provision of nutrition interventions including simple nutrition education / advice, care plan monitoring and updates.
- The Dietitian Assistant also has a role in assisting patients with menu selections, and also acting as a liaision between the Nutrition and Dietetics Department and food service personnel.
