Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Dietitian to join our forward thinking, supportive and motivated acute team of dietitians. The post is based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. It is a full time and permanent position.
The successful candidates will provide dietetic intervention to inpatients on a variety of hospital wards as well as regular outpatient clinics and education sessions, as required to nursing/medical teams. The candidate will have a key role in student training and will also work closely with a Dietetic Support Worker.
To support the provision of health care, to the people of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board catchment area. To have clinical responsibility for a varied caseload made up of adult acute patients on enteral feeding and/or oral nutritional supplements. Also outpatient work including general adult dietetic clinics or group education sessions.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team which will include medical, nursing, therapy and catering staff and other colleagues and agencies both within the hospital and the community.
To work autonomously and work within professional policies, standards and conduct as laid down by the British Dietetic Association, the Health Care Professions Council and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Dietetic Department.
Works within clearly defined organisational policies, work is managed rather than supervised.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
