We are seeking a motivated dietitian to join our team, working in a supportive multidisciplinary allied health team which includes; Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Case work and Counsellors and Community and District Nursing. You will be an Accredited Practising Dietitian (or eligible for APD status), hold a current Driver’s license and be passionate about evidence-based nutrition communication and supporting health and well-being within the community. This role would suit a Grade 1 Dietitian with at least 1-2 years experience, who is looking to step up and develop their career or equally any Dietitian looking to experience rural healthcare.
You will enjoy the opportunity to work both as an independent clinician and within our supportive, multi-disciplinary community health team, while delivering and evaluating dietetics services to the Alexandra and surrounding community. The role is varied and includes community outpatients and group education, inpatients of ADH’s small acute facility and residential age care clients within the catchment area. No two days are the same, with tasks including nutrition support for an inpatient, diabetes counselling for an outpatient, and delivering group cardiac rehabilitation education session or new parents’ group.
