About the role
Temporary part time opportunity to to assist the Director and Assistant Directors to provide high level leadership, strategic direction and advocacy in the management of the Dietetic & Food Services at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital (including over 50 FTE professional, operational and administrative staff), including leadership and development of nutrition and dietetic teaching and research.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:
- Monitor the appropriate application of dietetic professional standards and the quality of work unit activities within the RBWH and lead the implementation of service improvement initiatives and facilitate change management as required.
- Manage an allocated workload to deliver specialised nutrition and dietetic clinical services to patients at the RBWH and across the continuum of care, within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Utilise evidence-based practice to apply knowledge and skills that facilitate novel, complex, critical discipline specific or multi-disciplinary decisions, with minimal clinical practice supervision.
- Provide high level advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other relevant stakeholders on: leading service quality and improvement activities, clinical service development and delivery, and contributing to formal research.
