Summary of Responsibilities
This position will collaborate closely with the aftersales development and digital experience functions for Yamaha’s parts & accessories. As the main data steward of P&A across all digital platforms and processes, this position will ensure the smooth and consistent online accessory rollout for all Yamaha Motor Canada product groups. Responsible for providing insightful consumer analytics and competitor research to ensure strategic integration and development of results in current and future accessory plans. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of product data, from concept to production and launch.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for P&A data quality assurance, synchronization, and configuration of assets and content for all Yamaha product lines. This includes the initial point of entry for backend data, maintaining the integrity of accessory applications, and ensuring image associations are accurately maintained across all digital platforms.
  • Collaborating and coordinating with internal stakeholders in Product Planning, Sales, and Marketing, to incorporate and deliver a timely and robust go-to-market plan for the launch of new model year changeovers. Also ensuring any specifications to the existing models are promptly updated on the consumer website, downstream systems and digital publications.
  • Analyze the B2C and B2B competitive landscape for national accessory development. Conduct comprehensive research to identify opportunities, gaps, and stay current with industry trends and consumer preferences. Utilizing marketing automation tools to define digital enhancement based on Yamaha’s strategic goals and user behaviours.
  • Assist with a large-scale data project for Product Information System, by providing test feedback from technical and consumer-facing software systems. Subject-matter expert in relational databases and optimizing data flow performance. Continuously support the team with exporting and generating reports on a regular basis for data validation, as well as process improvement.
  • Actively participate in corporate shows, media events, and marketing initiatives as required.

Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma: Bachelor’s degree or diploma (technical preferred)
  • Program of Study: Business, Applied Technology, or Marketing
  • Years of Experience: 2-5 years related experience
  • Type of Experience: Digital product content experience, and automotive/powersport industry

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to details, problem-solving and organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Effective collaboration skills; must be able to coordinate workflow between cross-functional teams.
  • Applicable knowledge in all aspects of the powersports industry (Motorsports, Marine, Ebike, Snowmobile, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of market trends and the ability to adapt current accessory offerings to accommodate changes, continuously improve product planning strategies and support informed decision making.
  • Solid understanding of digital content management using Adobe Creative Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Technical experience with inRiver and SAP ERP system (S/4 HANA) would be a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office programs; advanced Excel level to analyze and interpret data.
  • Proficient in maintaining data integrity, showcasing excellent data handling skills.
