Description:

The Library Systems Team is the provider of several major University-wide IT systems for staff, students, alumni and collaborators at Cambridge University Libraries. As one of the world’s oldest University libraries, Cambridge University Libraries is also home to one of the world’s great collections of cultural treasures and research materials. Since its first recorded beginnings in 1416, as a small chest of manuscripts for Cambridge scholars, the library is now home to a physical collection of nearly ten million books, maps, manuscripts, photographs, and priceless objects.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that manages and enhances a range of systems and digital services that support library services and activities.
We are looking for someone to join our Digital Services Team to help us enhance user experience, enrich user data and simplify user support.
As the Digital and User Services Coordinator, you will bring expertise and experience to help identify service improvements to enhance the staff, student, and reader experience.
You will work across a variety of library systems and services liaising with different staff, teams, and libraries providing support and liaising with key stakeholders on a range of user-facing digital library services (Springshare Suite, Lean Library, ThirdIron products).
You will also create a sustainable support structure for the management of access to licensed online resources, assisting users with authentication issues, training colleagues and maintaining a “white” list for remote access.
This new role will also support the enrichment of user data to help improve Alma Analytics reports and dashboards usage across the Cambridge library community.
This is an incredible opportunity to be at the heart of innovation and change.
