Your new job
The Digital Clinical Content Writer will write novel, evidence-based and youth-friendly clinical content applicable to a mobile-based and online digital context. The Clinical Content Writer will be assigned writing tasks to produce content for digital interventions and will require to work both creatively and within an evidence-based framework to produce engaging and youth-friendly content.
Reporting to the Clinical Content Manager, Orygen Digital you will:
- Have responsibility for the development, writing, design and execution of exceptional clinical content informed by evidence based psychological models and interventions.
- Work as clinical content writer within the MOST project: develop the initial draft of engaging clinical content (activities) informed by an evidence-based transdiagnostic framework to a specific clinical presentation or issue (strategic priorities set by Head of Content). Written content must be written for a Mobile app and online platform.
- Advise the Orygen Digital team on therapeutic best practices, sourced from your clinical training and real-life experience(s) with clients.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly to revise and update content as required within a short timeframe.
What you’ll need
You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (preferably postgraduate or working towards postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology or education/developmental Psychology),
- Psychological therapy or clinical experience working with adolescents and young adults to address mental health issues (this will inform content development)
- Sound understanding and knowledge of literature surrounding psychological interventions for, or mechanisms underpinning, common mental health conditions (in youth) and their application.
- Relevant experience in professional writing, editing, and/or publishing field (academically or otherwise)
