The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia’s independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

We are seeking an experienced creative Digital Communications and Stakeholder Relations Officer to join the Communications and External Affairs Team in our Perth Office.
Responsibilities:
ROLE:
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Communications and External Affairs, this role will support a range of communications, media, and stakeholder relations activities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain effective, professional relationships and offer creative solutions, project support and communication guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a skilled Digital Communications and Stakeholder Relations Officer, you will assist in the management and maintenance of the content for NOPSEMA’s intranet and external facing websites including writing and editing content. You will also assist in writing and editing content for internal and external electronic and print communications including the website and intranet, social media, media releases, brochures, presentations, newsletter articles and regulatory publications.
You will undertake media and social media monitoring comprising identifying emerging issues, producing internal media reports, managing the media monitoring account and assisting with recording and responding to enquiries.
The successful applicant will provide assistance in coordinating NOPSEMA’s exhibits and events including preparing business cases, budget management, developing agendas, invitee lists, sourcing suitable venues for conferences, workshops, seminars, and forums and managing key relationships with venue and service providers and suppliers.
