Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Communication and Advocacy team is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies,
developing communication material, managing media relations, leading or supporting advocacy efforts, and providing
expert advice within VCEA. The team collaborates with all VCEA’s portfolios to advocate in the interests of Catholic school
education in Victoria, helping VCEA build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.
The Digital Communications Officer will support the Manager, Communication and Advocacy through ensuring accurate,
targeted digital content is created and available on VCEA’s website, intranet and other digital platforms. In doing so they
will play a key role in enhancing the image and reputation of VCEA, support effective communication with stakeholders
and drive advocacy efforts for the benefit of Catholic school education in Victoria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
• Coordinate content for digital channels including website, intranet, enewsletters and social media ensuring
accuracy, timeliness and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Use analytics and feedback to monitor, measure, evaluate and report on the performance and impact of VCEA’s
content and digital channels.
- Use data and insights to inform data driven enhancements, development and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor and moderate social media, including to identify issues and improvements and to contribute to strategic
communications advice.
- Provide advice and support to VCEA staff on usability, accessibility and functionality of digital content.
- Support the development of communication resources such as templates, branding, style guide and
communication plans.
- Review organisational documents to ensure adherence to VCEA templates and style guide.
- Assist staff to develop corporate documents, presentations and materials that are professionally presented.
