Description:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- A strong understanding of different digital channels and social media platforms.
- Experience of using video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro.
- Experience of using graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to work consistently to high professional standards including to accuracy, honesty, quality, and evidence.
- Ability to manage many different projects at once, from assignment through to delivery, in line with deadlines and sign off procedures.
- A strong understanding of the UK’s current political environment and how to engage with Liberal Democrat members and with voters.
- A commitment to the aims and values of the Liberal Democrats.
DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Photography and videography skills.
- Copywriting, copy-editing and proofreading skills
- Experience of successfully managing social media channels for a high profile organisation, brand, campaign or politician.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF JOB
Produce and publish engaging and effective content for the Liberal Democrats’ digital channels, with a particular focus on short format video and under-utilised platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Producing compelling content through graphic design and video editing.
- As part of the digital communications team, manage the party’s social media channels, focussing on the party’s expansion onto new and under-utlised platforms.
- Maximise the party’s reach and engagement by using analytics to determine the most effective digital content and delivery.
- Support the wider communications and leader’s teams in delivering the party’s strategy.
