JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Power System Engineer will be part of the Europe Services team delivering software solutions in the Energy domain. He will be in charge of implementing new features or new applications for the Energy Management System, closely follow up end-users’ requests, and address software issues detected by customers

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Power system engineering or software engineering with strong electrotechnical basis – PhD or Master degree.
Strong knowledge in power systems domain, particularly in network modelling, network analysis and generation control applications.
Good programming skills in C++ at minimum
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be comfortable presenting technical design and technical solutions to clients/customers (English mandatory, French highly appreciated).

Perform power system applications integration, tuning, results analysis, defect analysis and correction.
Contribute to the specification, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of power systems applications.
Interface and develop relationships with customers on activities within his area of functional expertise.
Contribute to business development through technical expertise support on new opportunities: build technical solutions proposal and running demo and deep technical solution clarification.
Respond to and track reports.
Enter bugs and feature requests in tracking systems.
Documentation of problem-solving steps into a growing knowledge base.
Identify processes and applications having problems, scan through error logs and source code, help determine reproduction paths
Investigate of software crashes, with potential to code bug fixes.
