YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Design Director, the Digital Engineer will sit within the project design team based in North Sydney, and be accountable for:

  • Model Management and coordinating administrative requirements for weekly deliverables and managing TfNSW progress meetings and reporting
  • Complete weekly and monthly interdisciplinary and stakeholder coordination using Navisworks/iConstruct/Revizto, etc.
  • Responsible for DE/BIM Coordinator activities including the audit and review within the Digital Engineering Plan.
  • Carry out model validation checks, clash detection, coordination reviews and liaise with Sub Consultants or Trades.
  • Support the deployment of field data management system, review validity of information collected against information deliverables.
  • Ensure that data exchange protocols are adhered to by the project team and liaise with design team manager on compliance issues.
  • Identify and keep record of BIM specific lessons learnt throughout the project to ensure future projects do not duplicate.
  • Manage the collation and reporting of Asset Acceptance Information Templates, Asset Acceptance Report for Asset Management, Asset Register and as-built models for Portion Completions handover.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree if engineering or related AEC field
  • Working Knowledge of International Standards such as ISO19650 and classification schemes and how they apply to DE delivery
  • Technical skills in range of BIM technology
  • Experience in design delivery on large scale projects
  • Proficient use of Digital Engineering technology including data interoperability and information exchange processes
  • Completion of an applicable course from the Institute of Applied Technology – Construction will be highly regarded. For more info on I-ATC Institute of Applied Technology - TAFE NSW
