As you might know, in Sweden it’s common to take a few weeks of holiday during July, most people take over multiple weeks in a row; at IKEA we are no different. Responsibilities:

in your role, you will engage deeply in the development and maintenance of our AI systems registry, classifying each system according to its risk level and ensuring alignment with our ethical standards. You will craft frameworks that enable our co-workers to effectively assess and mitigate risks in their AI projects. By translating legal and technical AI requirements into clear, actionable strategies, you will help democratize these standards across IKEA globally, including adapting them to meet specific country needs. Your collaboration with our Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Legal teams will streamline and enhance our digital ethics assessment processes. Together with product teams and data scientists, you will establish metrics for robustness, fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI, ensuring our technologies uphold human dignity and contribute positively to sustainability efforts.
Who we are looking for
Ideally, you hold a Master’s Degree or higher in Artificial Intelligence or a related field, are early in your career, either freshly graduated, or have a few years of working experience, and are in love with the idea of applying your skills to work for a humane, people-centric company.

You ideally have:

  • A Master’s Degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing current and emerging risk associated with Artificial Intelligence.
  • Experience developing frameworks for ethical implications around the future of AI.
  • Excellent communication skills and can translate AI jargon into easy-to-understand strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good grasp of deep learning techniques and their foundation.
  • Good knowledge of relevant programming languages (ideally Python), including an understanding of concepts from functional

and/or object-oriented coding paradigms, and a good grasp of large data manipulation with SQL.

  • Good knowledge of IKEA’s corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people.
