Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DECISION OWNERSHIP:

  • Coordinate functional analysis for the discovery of network operations use cases
  • Guide team experts in making the correct technological choices, taking into account the company’s internal constraints
  • Utilize strong knowledge of data analysis to address business problems and support data-driven decision-making
  • Lead a multicultural team of data scientists, data engineers, solution architects, and front-end/back-end developers to achieve team goals
  • Manage relationships with vendors to maintain data platforms such as Cloudera, OpenShift, and Tableau; oversee tenders to evaluate vendors
  • Define team milestones and deliverables, and effectively communicate progress and achievements to stakeholders
  • Scout for innovative solutions from third-party vendors and universities, incorporating advanced technologies such as machine learning, big data, and augmented reality

CORE COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in coordinating resources to deploy IT/TELCO projects
  • Knowledge of Network Operations processes
  • Extensive experience in evaluating third-party vendor solutions
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing solutions that include innovative technologies
  • Solid technical background in coding and IT architectures
  • Proficiency in BI tools
  • Strong inclination towards research and innovation
  • Familiarity with agile product development practices
  • Familiarity in deploying web and mobile applications

MUST HAVE TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Working experience as a Software Engineer
  • Working experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Over 5 years of working experience in multicultural environments
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques

Responsibilities:

This role is within the Digital VNO (Vodafone Network Operations) department, part of one of Vodafone’s most challenging initiatives. The primary goal is to automate Network Operations processes as much as possible, thereby reducing human effort in repetitive tasks through error-free automations. This includes designing web and mobile applications to enhance usability and minimize clicks for end users, with the support of data science, where applicable.
Our ambition is to leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver the best products for our internal Network Operations customers. The Digital Field and Innovation team focuses on deploying web and mobile applications to automate field and change management activities, experimenting with innovative approaches such as coding with the support of Gen AI and applying machine learning to maximize automation potential.
The successful candidate will define, discuss, and deliver projects, interacting with teams from different departments and both internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will lead internal and external resources in deploying team deliverables, understanding stakeholders’ needs, designing the product in terms of features and technical architecture, developing the code, and deploying the solution into production.
