Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated midwife with knowledge of maternity digital systems, to support the ongoing digital platforms within our maternity services. Our digital lead midwife will be passionate and continue to be a fundamental catalyst and enabler of our quality improvements and service changes.
The maternity digital lead will support the digital agenda with an energetic and motivated team of senior leaders, midwives, and obstetricians.
We are looking for a midwife with previous experience in a leadership and management role at a senior level who will be able to provide specialist skills and knowledge to support the organisation on a day to day basis, deliver education on our digital systems, lead the review and assessment of the local maternity service digital requirements and work in collaboration with the trust IT department.
The successful applicant will be someone who can work well as part of a team and who is self motivated driven by achievements. The expectation is that you will be already working at an advanced level, with a wide range of technical skills and clinical experience in a variety of settings.

Act as a role model by maintaining clinical competence and credibility through evidenced based clinical practice.
Work autonomously within trust policy, national and local guidelines, and within own scope of professional practice.
Provide effective professional support to all colleagues in maternity services.
Support in delivering education and training to other staff and students, including medical staff.
Accountable for own professional actions.
As an ambassador of the Midwifery profession, will ensure clinical practice, supported by digital technology which meets professional standards.
Ensure the maternity IT system functionality adheres to / supports practitioners professional standards e.g. the NMC Code
Work towards the ambitions of 3 year delivery plan evaluating the maternity IT systems and its ability, as an enabler, to meet the recommendations to drive up quality, safety and personalised care.
Will support and assist the Midwifery Management Team in developing the Maternity Services in line with national recommendations and local initiatives.
Support the daily business of data capture and on-going projects within the Trust and support in the analysis of current trends and benchmarking process flows and cultural norms for midwifery care across Ashford & St Peters.
