Recognising the distinctive contribution that literature makes to children’s lives, the Foundation focuses on introducing and cultivating a spirit of reading while acting as a catalyst for writing and cultural exchange. Role
The Digital Marketing Manager role is a pivotal position in the Foundation’s Marketing & Communications department. Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications and the wider Marcomms team, and other departments including Programming and IT, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Foundation and Festival’s website from website management, search engine optimization, web analytics, database management, paid digital media and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Management:
  • Working with internal stakeholders to ensure the content is updated in a timely manner.
  • Creating/resizing relevant digital assets such as videos, photos, animations, infographics, charts, and tables.
  • Search Engine Optimization:
  • Develop short-and-long-term SEO strategy.
  • Research, report and use search engine keywords and trends.
  • Develop off-page optimization initiatives.
  • Web Analytics:
  • Develop and coordinate web marketing campaigns.
  • Determine KPIs for campaign tracking and analysis.
  • Report data and insights from campaigns.
  • Database Management:
  • Ensure quality of customer data.
  • Provide insights on customer data to help marketing team devise campaigns with high conversion.
  • Paid Digital Media:
  • Work with Editorial Managers and agency to execute Paid Social, Paid Programmatic and Paid Search campaigns.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Liasing with external agency and/or IT department to design a website and administer ticketing processes.
  • Interfacing with website support agents – internal and external – to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Certification in digital marketing.
  • Experience of 3-5 years in digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS.
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency with design tools Adobe, Figma or similar
  • Working knowledge of website analytics including but not limited to G4
  • Solid knowledge of social channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Meta, and TikTok
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Team player with a learning mindset
  • Attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Certifications in Project Management.
  • Previous experience working in a cultural and/or not-for-profit environment.
  • Arabic speaker.

Other Relevant Information
As an integral part of the ELF Team, this position participates fully in the production and execution of Foundation events. This requires flexibility to be available evenings and weekends and to work additional hours during peak hours, with compensatory hours in lieu of time worked provided. Unless otherwise stated, all staff are subject to a six-month probationary period and annual performance review. The position is based in the Emirates Literature Foundation office, located in Al Shindagha, Dubai. Flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
