Description:

The Strategic Communications branch is part of the Strategic, Insight and Advisory Division. The branch takes a strategic, whole-of-department view of communication, managing the department’s reputation and providing context and consistency to all communication messaging. The branch focuses on a few key areas: strategic communication; media; online, social media and digital strategy; marketing and creative; and internal communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies and plans to promote the departmental programs, initiatives, and services.
  • Creating and curating engaging content for the department’s digital channels, including social media, website, email marketing, design assets and blogs.
  • Liaising with and providing advice to communication officers and other internal clients on the design and production of materials to suit the department’s communication needs, ensuring a strategic alignment between client needs and department objectives.
  • Coordinating projects and requests from conception to completion and briefing internal clients on process and progress.
  • Operating industry standard software and systems in support of content and asset creation, web publishing, social media management, monitoring, and insights/evaluation.
  • Applying and managing department corporate identity standards across all digital and visual outputs.
  • Actively engaging in a team environment and positive culture, by demonstrating our core values, celebrating success, and committing to continued learning and development.
