Digital Marketing Platforms Owner (f/m/x)
Job Purpose:
The Platform Owner of Marketing Automation will be responsible for developing and delivering the product roadmap and strategy for our Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud platforms globally, ensuring business value is maximized. They will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical education, and sales to drive product development in support of local go-to-market strategies enabling multichannel campaign execution. The role should ensure the business can use the technical capabilities with appropriate training and aligned business processes.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap for marketing cloud and data cloud platforms based on internal stakeholder input, market research, and customer feedback
- Manage business analysts and front-end platform configurators
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize development efforts based on business value and customer impact
- Own the governance forums to develop and deliver the platform roadmap in partnership with business and Global IT to ensure scalable solutions are implemented
- Define product requirements and user stories based on customer needs and market trends
- Work with Business Analysts and delivery teams to ensure requirements are met in the delivery
- Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and market trends
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute launch plans
- Monitor product performance and use data-driven insights to make recommendations for product improvements and new features
- Ensure users are trained and equipped to use the new features
- Design business processes aligned with new capabilities to ensure effective use
- Implement policies and procedures as needed to ensure the platforms are developed and maintained in a sustainable way
What you will need to be successful?
- Strategic thinker, with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends, identifying new opportunities, and developing a deep understanding of the platform capabilities now and in the future
- Experience working with marketing organizations, understanding how marketing communication strategies can be achieved using platforms
- Experience in Salesforce Platforms, specifically marketing cloud and data cloud or other customer data platforms
- Ability to communicate at all levels, enabling decision-making using data to inform prioritization aligned with business and customer value with available resources
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, and experience working in an agile environment is a plus
- A self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently while also being a team player.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, a strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and identify the business needs that drive value

Your experience should look like:
- 10+ years’ experience within the marketing and data industry. Prior experience in marketing technology, data analytics, or cloud-based solutions
- 5+ years’ experience in product management or ownership. Experience in owning and managing software products, especially cloud-based ones.
- 5+ years’ experience with marketing concepts, strategies, and tools is necessary to effectively prioritize and guide the development of marketing cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in data management, analytics, and data privacy regulations is critical, especially for data cloud platforms
- Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and data analysts.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation is valuable for making data-driven decisions.
With these qualifications you’re the match:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as marketing, business, computer science, or data science. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) can be advantageous.
- Certifications - Relevant certifications are beneficial i.e. Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant. For data cloud platforms, certifications in data management or cloud computing i.e AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer.
