role summary
The Digital Marketplace team manage the commercial trading of our European marketplace presence, currently Zalando. They are responsible for ensuring our brand shows up powerfully across the consumer shopping journey and work with internal and external teams to implement strategies in order to achieve our KPIs. The Digital Marketplace Specialist supports the onboarding of our seasonal assortment, maintaining brand visibility across key pages and coordinating with other teams to successfully execute our trading calendar.

a day in the life

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful onboarding of product on a weekly basis, before and during a season. Includes QA of product data, pricing and categorization, troubleshooting where needed, to ensure an optimal shopping experience for guests
  • Coordinate end-of-season markdown activations, with guidance from regional Planning team and Manager, Digital Marketplaces. This includes frequent in-season markdowns and larger sale events throughout the year, ensuring prices go-live at specified time and applicable products appear in key commercial locations across the marketplace
  • Leads taskforce meetings with Digital Merchant to monitor stock levels and request transfers where needed, to maintain optimal coverage across the assortment and capitalise on guest demand
  • Work closely with our relevant teams to proactively maintain and enhance our brand visibility across key areas of the digital marketplace
  • Liaise with Brand Creative and Fulfilment to ensure samples are ordered and delivered to partners in a timely manner
  • Support Manager, Digital Marketplace in weekly and monthly trade reporting, focusing on KPIs including, but not limited to: gross/shipped sales, traffic, conversion, returns, on-site performance marketing, product trends, ROAS
  • Attend and contribute to external planning and reporting meetings, sharing trade calendar and any relevant analysis

qualifications, skills and experiences

  • Experience in e-commerce or related spaces, experience working with digital marketplaces desirable
  • Understanding of e-commerce operations: back-end platforms, warehouse/DC reporting, catalogue management tools
  • Competent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to define actions
  • Team-oriented with ability to effectively communicate priorities and collaborate with partners across the organization at all levels.
  • Strong communication/presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for all things Digital.
