MCIT has partnered with a private wealth management company, that’s focused on financial planning and retirement needs of high-net-worth clients in Montreal, Oakville and throughout Canada. They provide financial planning services, investment management and insurance services.
They’re currently searching for a Digital Media Specialist, to join their team in their Montreal, Quebec office.
THE JOB DESCRIPTION:
To accommodate their continued growth and success, our partner is seeking a talented and versatile individual to join their team as a Digital Media Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of their digital presence, including graphic design, website development, maintenance, and content strategy.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATION:
Proven experience in graphic design, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web development, marketing, communications, or related field.
Strong knowledge of website development languages and platforms, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, etc.
Experience with website maintenance and troubleshooting, including updates, backups, and security protocols.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling grammatically correct, and industry-relevant content.
Knowledge of SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines.
A keen eye for design and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred);
EXPERIENCE (AN ASSET):
Digital design: 5 years (required);
WordPress: 10 years (required);
Content Writing: 5 years (required).
Responsibilities:
Designing visually appealing graphics for various digital platforms, including but not limited to social media, websites, and email campaigns.
Developing and maintaining company websites to ensure functionality, usability, and overall user experience.
Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and implement content strategies that align with our brand identity and marketing objectives.
Creating engaging and persuasive content for digital platforms, including website pages, blog posts, email campaigns, and social media.
Monitoring and analyzing website traffic and engagement metrics to optimize performance and user experience.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital media to continually improve our digital presence.
