Description:
Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team to support our DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps metrics, strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn data into actionable insights to improve our development and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis: - Collect, process, and analyse data related to DORA metrics including Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Mean Time to Restore (MTTR), and Change Failure Rate. - Maintain and enhance data collection and analysis frameworks to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Reporting and Visualization: - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track and visualize DORA metrics. - Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise visualizations and reports.
- Performance Measurement: - Continuously monitor performance metrics and provide insights to improve software delivery performance. - Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data to help inform decision-making processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with DevOps teams, software engineers, and management to understand their data needs and provide data-driven insights. - Communicate complex data insights in an understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and DevOps. - Recommend and implement improvements to data collection processes, analytical methodologies, and reporting tools.
Experience: - Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within a DevOps or software development environment. - Experience with DORA metrics and their application in a professional setting.
Technical Skills: - Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, or similar. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. - Familiarity with DevOps tools and platforms (eg, Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes). - Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modelling.
Soft Skills: - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
