Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Pathology Programme Manager to join our dynamic team within the newly Kent and Medway Pathology Network.
Offering the chance to lead a programme of work that will fundamentally change ways working, digitising current processes and creating a platform for the introduction of cutting-edge AI technology. The post holder would work within the current small team who have delivered the approved business case and would work across the Network to facilitate all interactions of the interested parties, delivering a robust and resilient and fully integrated digital pathology reporting system over the lifetime of the project.
Being part of wider exciting programme of change the successful candidate will have detailed knowledge and understanding of complex IT systems, their development and interoperability with other key enterprise systems.
As the Digital Pathology Programme Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the digital pathology project from implementation readiness to completion. Scoping and developing ancillary and complementing technologies, such as AI, will also be part of your remit.

Lead and manage digital pathology projects, including system implementation, integration, and optimization.
Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time and within budget delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
Develop project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in pathology workflows.
Provide technical expertise and support to resolve project issues and challenges.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience managing complex projects in the healthcare or life sciences industry, with specific experience in digital pathology preferred, but not essential.
Strong understanding of pathology workflows, laboratory operations, and digital imaging systems.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in healthcare.
MSP, APMG or other project management certification is a plus.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
