NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Expertise and passion for Product Management
  • Detailed understanding of the Asset Management business including multiple asset classes and financial technology systems
  • Highly skilled at managing competing priorities to deliver as part of a collaborative cross-functional team
  • Strong consultative skills ranging from gathering market and competitor insights, problem solving, analytics, strategy development, influencing, facilitation, managing conflicts, and consensus building
  • Broad technology knowledge across software systems and solutions development
  • Experience delivering change on SaaS platforms such as Eagle Access & Aladdin preferred
  • Data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Demonstrates client focus and drives outstanding UI/UX via creation and implementation of client journeys and user-centered design
  • Thorough understanding of Scaled Agile and Scrum practices
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Highly motivated and experienced senior leader with 8+ years of experience driving Digital Products in Asset Management or Wealth Management
  • Exceptional track record delivering successful digital products
  • Expertise in Client Onboarding is strongly preferred. Experience in OCIO, Liquidity Solutions, Client Reporting, and other Operations-heavy domains is desirable
  • Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, or equivalent career experience is required. MBA or CFA is a plus but not required
    Salary Range:
    $114,700 - $154,800

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) is a trillion dollar investment management firm entrusted by investors around the globe to help them navigate changing market environments, so they can confidently realize their long-term objectives.
NTAM is on a journey to deliver leading edge data-enabled digital capabilities to meet the growing needs of its clients and investors. We are looking for a product leader to drive the vision, build, deploy and manage capabilities with speed and at scale. This role will include collaborating with business, technology and enterprise stakeholders to develop a digital product roadmap, identify talent to execute, and measure impact, adoption and engagement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering digital capabilities in financial services along with strong commercial acumen.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the creation of world-class Products within Operations to meet the growing needs of the NTAM business. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of a multi-year digital roadmap to support business strategy for Operations-related capabilities, inclusive of technology, data and operational processes
  • Maintain quarterly & annual roadmaps to deliver continuous business value while measuring outcomes such as revenue generation, cost optimization, and improved customer experience
  • Design product features by synthesizing client feedback and market intelligence. Build products that are scalable, resilient, available, flexible, and elegantly address business needs
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external technology partners to prioritize work and efficiently execute
  • Gather iterative product feedback through product roadshows, launches, demos, etc.
  • Leverage metrics to drive engagement, adoption, and customer satisfaction. Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of product spend and ensure investments in systems and process enhancements deliver value
  • Partner with the Data Office to ensure products adhere to enterprise data governance standards
  • Stay up to date on trends in Asset Management and Digital Product Management
