Oats Overnight is changing the way people eat breakfast, and since launching in 2016, our high protein spoon-free oatmeal has been enjoyed by over 1,000,000 customers. We are scaling quickly in both direct-to-consumer and retail with the goal of becoming a household brand. We have end-to-end control of all phases of the business, producing and fulfilling the product in-house, which is extremely rare for companies our size. This allows us to create new flavors and products quickly and is a tremendous advantage for our brand – we’re able to give customers a behind-the-scenes look at what we do, highlighting our people and process in content. Being vertically integrated also enables us to incorporate customers directly in the development process.

WHAT’S THE JOB?

  • We’re looking for a Digital Project Manager to help us organize, plan and execute critical projects for Oats Overnight. This person will collaborate with senior leadership to remove roadblocks, work strategically and be responsible for scheduling and hitting critical deadlines.
  • What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part
  • Organize, plan, and execute projects (you’ll be responsible for scheduling and hitting deadlines)
  • Quickly implement new processes to streamline projects and increase efficiency from end to end.
  • Plan strategically and think tactically in collaboration with senior leaders to define the future of the Oats Overnight digital projects and experience
  • Facilitate senior leadership by removing roadblocks
  • Write requirements, create PRD’s and associated acceptance criteria
  • Gather and document business requirements/use cases/writing user stories
  • Understand and inform the digital project’s data requirements (ex: if a change is made to the user interface, what are the backend data implications)
  • Provide support to keep the engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall project strategy
  • Partner with the design team to ensure that the UI matches objectives and enhances the customer experience
  • Help instill a culture of user centricity. Make sure we are thinking about the customer needs while balancing business requirements. Ensuring we are driving project and design decisions that are customer-first.
  • Surface blockers and provide recommendations (based on trade-offs) to optimize customer experience, time-to-market, and to get us to our desired outcomes.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the Oats Overnight customer experience and identifying pain points based on data and facts (not personal opinion) to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s in project management (Preferred)
  • 3 or more years of experience in a high-growth environment organizing, planning, and executing digital projects.
  • Someone who can understand business requirements and manage senior stakeholders to improve digital experience.
  • Experience with Asana
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience of influencing other teams and stakeholders (up to the executive level)
  • You love helping prioritize solutions.
  • You do your best work when you’re working alongside designers and engineers, solving problems, giving constructive feedback on design through the lens of the customer.

  • Creativity and a passion to manage the best digital projects in the world!
  • Extremely strong time management and organizational skills
  • Extensive experience managing projects with a mobile first approach
  • An analytical mentality with exceptional execution and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience Creating Customer Portals (nice to have but not necessary)
  • Experience Creating Digital Subscription - Based Products (nice to have but not necessary)
  • Experience with Shopify (nice to have but not necessary)
  • Experience with Recharge (nice to have but not necessary)
  • Experience in DTC Food/Beverage (nice to have but not necessary)
