Description:

A Digital Workplace EUC Engineer for a permanent role paying up to £43,687.72 per annum with British Transport Police (BTP). BTP operate a flexible working policy, including the ability to work a mixture of home and office. The role will be based at our Force Head Quarters (FHQ) in Camden and will require at least 2 days in the office.
This an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support our Modern Workplace M365 environment and the implementation of new EUC technologies. Digital Workplace consists of 3 teams: End User Computing, Platforms and Solutions. The Digital Workplace End User Computing team is responsible for the technical design, development, implementation and support of End user computing devices, configurations, services, and solutions that improve interoperability, collaboration, communication, mobility, connectivity, and productivity.
We have begun an exciting journey into the world of Microsoft Intune a cloud-based enterprise mobility management service that facilitates productive work environments while safeguarding the forces data. Windows 11 is on the immediate horizon alongside mobile device enrolment on to Intune. This is an exciting time for Technology at BTP as we pave the way for the modern workplace experience. WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE:

  • Valuable experience of working in modern management support function covering EUC, software/OS installations, updates, and 3rd line support.
  • Supporting Windows Client and Android devices using Intune or other enterprise mobility management platforms, such as MECM/SCCM, Samsung KNOX Enterprise Suite
  • The provision of applications, configurations and OS maintenance and support services, using system management tools to groups of users or directly to users and their systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, and cloud configuration.
  • Exposure to EUC automation tooling and Device Experience Platforms such as Nexthink Infinity is desirable
  • Experience Updating or creating documentation, manipulating data, or defining enhancements
    Whilst this role sits formally within the Digital Workplace EUC team, the postholder will gain exposure across the Digital Workplace strands and can support work in other Digital Workplace areas when required. This is applicable to all roles within Digital Workplace.
