    The National Library is seeking to fill an ongoing Senior Administration Officer APS 4 role in the Digitisation Projects section of the Collaboration Branch.

  • Be proficient in large Excel spreadsheets with capacity to work within the National Library’s various bespoke management systems.

  • Independently liaise with internal stakeholders adhering to section guidelines and processes for consistent and efficient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Administration Officer is part of a team that digitises collection material to provide access to collections for all Australians through Trove. This is a hands-on role that supports digitisation projects and works across a range of work priorities including:

  • Physical preparation of collection material by adhering to collection care and digitisation standards, including periods of repetitive work on large volumes of manuscript items.
  • Liaison with senior decision makers regarding basic assessments of collection material to identify rights issues and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property content.
  • Collaboration with colleagues on complex and detailed project management processes including documentation, targets, quality assurance and timeframes.
