REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in relevent area of specialization.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Six (6) years of progressive experience working with data mining and sophisticated modeling of data-informed outcomes.
- Extensive experience in higher education, preferably in working with data from recruitment/admissions, scholarships, student success modeling, and/or other student records.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic statistical concepts and programming language of analytical software, such as SQL, SAS, R, SPSS, or others.
- Experience building Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Demonstrated experience in data visualization and assisting others in understanding how to interpret data.
- Exceptional communication skills, including effective writing, public speaking, and persuasive competencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of specialization is required. Advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise high-performing team members with an intentional focus on developing and mentoring analysts to continue growing their technical skill sets and deepening their expertise in organizational data.
- Lead the advancement of data analytics and capacity building evaluation methodology by providing expertise in using mixed methods (quantitative/qualitative), survey methodology, and online data collection platforms (e.g., Qualtrics). Leverage analytic expertise to design data products to advance analyses and tools to create a best-in-class consulting product.
- Analyze trends using historical data, market trends, and other relevant bodies of information to create predictive enrollment models.
- Perform extensive data analysis.
- Models positive engagement in resolving conflict and elevates a focus on mission and what is best for the people we serve.
- Translates department strategy into SMART project goals and deliverables for teams and individuals. Cascades strategies and goals to all team members.
- Regularly create ad hoc reporting for the Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Analytics and the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, related to enrollment, scholarships, and recruitment activities.
