QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Previous experience in direct marketing / campaign management or similar
  • Not-for profit experience is desirable however, also open to candidates with commercial experience wanting to transition.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to consult with people at all levels of an organisation.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills and the ability to independently manage several projects simultaneously, often with competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality work, at times, to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive, and collaborative approach.
  • A passion and interest in working for a health charity.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Direct Marketing Manager, this role is key in supporting the operational implementation of multi-channel direct marketing communications via single giving, regular giving, and major gift programs.
The Direct Marketing Coordinator will provide expertise in project management and development in donor care for all supporters, with a focus on improving the donor experience and communications to drive results in donor retention and engagement.
This role is open to candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills and whilst NFP experience is desirable, we would love to speak to candidates who have a burning desire to transition from the commercial sector into a purpose driven, meaningful role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Direct Marketing Manager in the creation and distribution of multi-channel campaigns (direct mail, email, SMS, telemarketing) and supporting materials such as electronic newsletters throughout the year to drive donor engagement in relation to their programs.
  • Manage the design, print and production of campaigns and supporting direct marketing materials including briefings, timelines, proofing, and approvals to meet fundraising objectives.
  • Collaborate directly with printer and mail house suppliers to manage stock supply, data processing and review of live samples to ensure on-time delivery of campaigns.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders in the Support Services Team and the Data Insights Team to ensure the delivery of Donor care in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Monitor the success of direct mail and e-communications by tracking and analysing response rates, average gift, clicks, opens, subscribers and online interactions.
  • Lead the management of the Annual Supporter Survey using direct mail and email to generate the bequest leads and donor insights.
  • Provide support to the Direct Marketing Manager on other ad-hoc projects.
