SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Previous experience in a similar direct marketing/campaign management role
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to monitor budgets
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask across a number of projects and priorities
  • Prior experience working in a non-profit fundraising environment is highly preferable
  • Knowledge and/or experience of direct marketing programs and techniques
  • Understanding of the donor/customer journey
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Collaborative to work in a team but also capable to work autonomously
  • Raisers Edge CRM experience or equivalent is desirable
  • Digital skills are desirable or willingness to learn

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join and contribute to a team with a significantly high achieving revenue portfolio. This position will play a key role in implementing regular giving and single retention programs, as well as day-to-day fundraising operations.
As the Direct Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of the donor retention program across multiple channels to achieve net income and donor targets. A key focus of this role will be on optimising the direct mail program and maximising gifts through offline, digital, and other channels for both regular giving and single-giving donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage campaigns across various donor segments by writing and presenting briefs, managing data selections, creating emails and donation/landing pages, test, schedule and report on performance
  • Develop strong relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee communications focused on donor care and retention of regular donors and single givers across direct mail, digital, SMS, telephone and print
  • Support the delivery and fulfilment of regular newsletters across mail and digital
  • Consider the donors experience across all channels and strive to improve all aspects of the donor experience by using best fundraising practice
  • Track, measure and report on the results for appeals and retention activities and monitoring impact on donor retention
  • Create and be responsible for timings for all appeals and retention activities making sure tasks are on track
