Western National is seeking a Director Agency Sales and New Business Development – Central Region to join our team!
The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing our agency force in select central region states. This individual will provide planning and budgeting assistance to the SVP, Marketing & Agency Sales for select states. The individual in this role will have direct responsibility of regional agency managers as assigned by the SVP, Marketing & Agency Sales, as well as responsibility for managing a small territory of independent agencies.
COMPENSATION OVERVIEW
The hiring range for this role is $141,210 – 172,590 annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and/or may be considered for other positions.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in developing plans and strategies for cultivating agency relationships and achieving organizational sales goals in specific assigned states and territories.
- Analyzes reports on key performance metrics to optimize profitability and drive business results in defined states.
- Manages a team of regional agency managers, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and mentorship to regional agency managers to enhance their performance and professional growth.
- Fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer experience within the sales division.
- Assists regional agency management state teams by developing and executing strategies to drive desired state results, cultivating relationships with independent agencies to achieve organizational profitability, and coordinating internal efforts to pursue resolutions and drive new business opportunities.
- Handles specific agency assignments, directs interactions with agency producers and / or policyholders, and coordinates efforts from other departments to drive profitable growth.
- Travels to various agencies to help maintain existing agency force and forge new agency relationships.
- Identifies emerging market trends, threats, and growth opportunities to assist in the organization’s strategic decisions.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams internally to support product initiatives, promotions, and communication to our agency partners.
- Performs other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned by leadership.
- Makes decisions independently following the strategy set forth by leadership.
- Makes recommendations around incentive compensation for agency partners to drive growth opportunities.
- Maintains regular contact with customers, agents, policyholders, and employees across the organization.
- Acts according to our customer experience standards.
- Builds and maintains strong agency relationships with the goal of increasing an agency’s book of personal lines, commercial lines business, and specialty.
- Maintains excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Has the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to attend agency meetings, events, and insurance conferences.
- Works from the nearest regional office when traveling for business.
- Ability to work evening hours or weekends as needed to meet deadlines and / or complete projects.
